The American truck manufacturer Navistar International has unveiled a new family of CV Series medium-duty trucks, created in collaboration with GM. Sales began in early 2019.
Mid-tonnage vehicles in the USA are niche products, and therefore Navistar International decided to share the costs of their development with General Motors.
In essence, the CV Series is the converted Chevrolet Silverado HD trucks, but it's hard to say whose contribution to the development of common cars is greater.
The International CV Series and Chevrolet Silverado HD are available at the Navistar factory in Springfield, Ohio: GM supplies engines and cabs, Navistar frames and finalizes.
