SATOH was founded in 1914, it was one of the oldest Japanese companies producing tractors.

In 1980, as a result of the merger of Satoh and Mitsubishi Machinery, Mitsubishi Agricultural Machinery was established.

From 1980 to 1984, tractors were sold under the name SATON MITSUBISHI, but since 1984 the manufactured tractors have already been known as Mitsubishi.

Satoh Agricultural Machinery was a distributor of David Brown and produced them under the Saton name.
