One of the most popular truck models, Scania G-series occupies an intermediate position in the line of the Swedish company and is designed to satisfy a wide variety of cargo transportation needs.
Scania G-series can be either a comfortable truck tractor with a sleeping high cab, or a city truck, a dump truck, and even a special-purpose vehicle.
There are five options for the execution of the driver’s workplace: three cabins with a berth, one cab for daytime transportation and a short cab, often intended for special equipment, such as a fire truck, loader and many other options.
A separate engine is also provided for each task, engine is installed on truck tractors as an entry-level engine with a power of 340 hp or more. and motors of the highest level up to 480 hp.
The weakest engine that is installed on the Scania G-series develops 230 hp. and differs in good profitability in urban conditions.
Swedish engineers have achieved excellent driving performance, not least thanks to the latest Scania Opticruise transmission with a retarder in 8 or 12 gears.
In addition to the automatic transmission for the G-series, there is also a manual gearbox for six gears.
